Fun and hands-on practice. This activity effectively teaches students identify different cloud types and describe their characteristics and weather that go with each cloud! Students model ten different clouds at different altitudes using cotton, glue, and construction paper. Includes editable student directions sheet with rubric, 2-page reference sheet, student examples, and a lesson plan.

• Modeling Types of Clouds Lab Student Handout and Rubric: Your download includes to follow step-by-step directions on how to set up and model cloud types at different altitudes, label each cloud, and write the weather associated with each cloud. Student are then asked to shade in and draw lightning or rain for specific clouds. Includes a grading rubric where students can self-grade or you can use to grade the student’s work. This activity works individually or up to three or four students in a group.
