Hello there! I’m Ana, and live in sunny Tampa, Florida. I’ve always been captivated by the world of science, proudly wearing the badge of a true science nerd. What’s my mission with Science is Real Education? To make science just as exciting for students as it is for me.
About My Educational Background
Spanning over a decade and a half, my teaching journey in secondary sciences has equipped me with insights and experience that have led me to where I am today. Enter Science Is Real, my brainchild and now full-time venture, aimed at simplifying science and making it accessible to everyone.
Back in 2015, the inception of Science Is Real was a response to a challenge many educators face – the search for quality teaching resources. I worked hard to build my TPT Store. Fast forward, and I’ve crafted over 400 resources to assist fellow teachers in creating engaging classrooms. The feedback I’ve received is beyond heartwarming and fuels my drive to keep making a difference.
my other interests
I am a busy mom of two teens and enjoy the laid-back lifestyle that Florida has to offer. I spend my time playing Uber to my kids, taking care of my two dogs and flock of chickens, soaking up the sun at the beach, and trying not to die during CrossFit classes (it’s a love/hate thing). My favorite thing to do is stay home in comfy clothes, read, and snuggle my pups. Fun Fact! When I rescued Jolene (tan dog), I was told she was a pittie (I have always held a special place in my heart for that breed). A DNA test six months later confirmed what we suspected – she’s mostly chihuahua – and she is the best chihuahua pittie ever! Jolene will take your man – she took mine!
