Weather Stations Activity

This student-led weather stations activity is a great way to get your kids moving and interacting with content in a variety of fun and engaging ways! Students will learn, interact, and explore various weather topics including air masses, air pressure systems, weather fronts, wind, and weather maps.

These ten weather stations are neatly presented, have easy to understand directions, and require minimal prep from you!

Minimal Materials:

• Station 1: Colored pencils (any five colors)
• Station 2 Air Pressure Demo: 1 drinking glass, water source, and card stock or poster board squares to cover the mouth of the glass. Glass can be reused, but each group will need a new paper square.
• Stations 8 and 9 – Wind Video and Thunderstorm Simulation: Each station will need one electronic device. Phones will work, but tablets/computers are probably best to keep your kids focused on the assignment
