This symbiosis graphic organizer and activities resource contains three great symbiosis worksheets to use in any ecology unit! Included in your download is an attractive reference sheet/anchor chart, a symbiosis graphic organizer, and symbiosis practice worksheet. Use one or all of these activities in your ecological relationships unit.
All student handouts come in full color and black and white. I like to use the black and white version in person because my students love coloring doodle notes! You can print and go or use digitally on Google slides. Answer keys are included!
1. Symbiosis Graphic Organizer
This graphic organizer includes prompts for students to fill in information the three types of symbiosis: mutualism, commensalism, and parasitism. Students will define, give examples, and describe these ecological relationships. Comes in a full color and black/white version for coloring.
2. Symbiosis Reference Sheets
A one-pager reference sheet (black/white and full color) defines and describes each type of symbiosis and gives real examples of each. Use it to scaffold the graphic organizer, as notes, or even as an attractive anchor chart in your classroom.
3. Symbiosis Practice Worksheet
Students will read seven scenarios of symbiotic relationships and then identify which organism is helped, harmed, or unaffected. They will then write what type of symbiosis each scenario represents and why this relationship is an example of that type of symbiosis.
4. Answer Keys for All Activities
* Full Color PDFs, Black/White PDFs (great for coloring), and Google Slides Versions are all included in your download!
