Lab Overview
– Students will read background information and answer pre-lab questions
– Students will take measurements and calculate the mass, volume, and density of three gummy bears.
– Students will place a gummy bear in three different cups (or beakers): tap water, salt water (directions included to make a great solution), and no solution (control)
– The next day students will collect data, make calculations, make graphs, and answer analysis questions
– As a culminating activity, students will complete a scaffolded lab conclusion.
– An editable rubric and answer key is also included
